A long Sunday

As soon as I woke up this morning I knew the day was going to be bad. I’ve always hated Sundays because it symbolizes the end of fun, and the beginning of another week of classes. This is also the day I usually do all of my homework that’s due on Monday. No sense in wasting a perfectly good Friday and Saturday with studying as I always say.
After a while of just lying in my bed I finally decided to get up and get started on my assignments, I had a plethora of papers to type and worksheets to complete. I decided a good place to start would be my math; it has always been the easiest for me. I got to through the first couple of problems easy but on the fourth on I was stopped dead in my tracks like a fish out of water. It felt like I looked for the through the book for hours trying to figure it out, I was getting very angry and frustrated, I decided to just stop before I just take it out on my roommate who was still sleeping. I needed to get the anger out the only way I know how, working out at the gym. Faster than I thought of the idea I grabbed my bag full of workout cloths and was off. After fifteen minutes of working out I felt so much better I went from being haggard to being full of merit.
After a good forty-five of what felt like the best workout I have had in a long time, it was time to head back and try to complete my work. On the way back from the gym I got a text from one of my good bodies Steve telling me to get to the Hess Rec Center for the super bowl party and there was going to be pizza. I thought to myself homework or fun and food?  It was an easy choice, I went straight to the Hess saw my friend but no food. I said “oh hey there Steve, how are you?”
“Just dandy, how about yourself?” He replied
“Well I’m a lot better than this morning, I felt like killing someone, so I went to work out”
“I know what you mean, I just felt like snapping my desk in half. It has just been one of those days.”
“Yes it defiantly has. When is that pizza going to get here, that’s the only reason I came to this thing.”
“yeah same here, I’m going to give it thirty minutes, if it’s not here by then I am going to leave.”
Not too long after we had this conversation the food had arrived and Steve and I had a grin that went from one ear to the other. We were one of the first people in line to grab some of the delicious food that was blessed upon us by the mighty gods of pizza. As soon as I got my slice I noticed there were also hot wings. I grabbed some and eat like I have never tasted a hot wing in my young adult life. But I could forget what I had to do after I was done eating my math and other various assignments. I tried to keep that in the far back part of my brain so I could just enjoy the game with my friends but this seem to make the game go even fasted and in no time at all it was over and so was my fun. I said bye to my friends and left to go back to my room to get some work done.
As soon as I got back a grabbed my math book and got my homework done at a lot faster of a pace then I was doing earlier in the day. After completing that it was off to wright my paper on the Philippine Basketball Association. I am a big fan of the PBA so I didn’t think I would have much trouble with it and I didn’t. I manly just wrote about my favorite team the Alaska Aces (not to be confused with the hockey team), they have not been doing not so hot this year, but I think they can turn it around later in the season. I personally blame Cyrus Baguio, he can do so much better. After the paper was done it was almost twelve o’clock and I was worn out so I decided to call it a night and I would try to do my other papers the next day.

  1. Haha, sounds like a typical college student, yep. :D
Great job, Dominic. You managed to get a lot out of a little snippet of conversation. Love the descriptions ("the mighty gods of pizza"!).
Don't have much to criticize, except watch out for spelling errors! There are a few words that are misspelled here, but unfortunately they're actual words, so the spellcheck wouldn't catch them ("one of my good bodies Steve" - BWAHAHA! Sorry, that was just a funny one). And that's why human beings are better spell-checkers than computers! ^_^
Anyway, great job! See you in class tomorrow! Don't forget to bring your rough draft
